Mount Pleasant High School Band News and Announcements:
Save the date and pass the word!
MPBand will be hosting a car wash/cook
out/junk sale on July 10th at Mount Pleasant Middle School.
The band will wash cars for a donation. We will also offer
hot dogs and sodas for sale. We will also sell table space
so you can sell your awesome junk!. Tables will be available
for $20. Pay for your table and setup your stuff and you
keep all the profits. We'll need all the band kids/parent we
can get to help with washing and cooking and such. You can
contact any booster officer or Mr. T. if you have any
questions. Tell all your friends, let's get a big crowd for
both the washing and the selling!

Marching Band
Erin and Jason have started optional
workouts after school on Tuesdays-Fridays. Everyone
is encouraged to attend as often as they can. These
workouts can only benefit you as we head toward our
summer rehearsals and Mr. Lee’s fitness plan.

Candy For Sale
Mr. T. has seven boxes of candy in his
office. If you would like to sell one of these
boxes, the same rules as before apply. Come by and
let me know what you want to do.

Things You Can Do For The MP
Band
1. Write a letter or email to our
county commissioners asking them to fully fund the
Cabarrus County Schools 2010-2011 budget.
2. Write a letter or email to school board member
Andrea Palo thanking her for pushing the board to
return the band money to the 2010-2011 budget
request.
3. Ask Mr. T. about filing some music after school.
4. Donate a pack of colored paper to the band for
weekly newsletters.
5. Ask Mr. T. about fertilizing the practice field.
6. Take a few minutes to clean out your cubby in the
storage rooms.
7. Go to a middle school rehearsal after school and
invest in our future.

Current Fundraisers
Mount Pleasant NAPA
Fundraiser
The Mount Pleasant NAPA store is
running a fundraiser for the band. All you have to
do is shop at their store at 8005 NC Hwy 49N, in
Mount Pleasant and mention the MPBand account number
(#9903) they will donate 10% of the purchase
to the Band Boosters.
The Mount Pleasant NAPA not only
carries the fine line of NAPA parts and tools. They
also carry Stihl chainsaws and paintball supplies
and CO2. Call them at 704-436-9333 for more info.
